Prayer of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face Feast 1 October
O my God! I offer You all my actions this day for the intentions and for the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I desire to sanctify every beat of my heart, my every thought, my simplest works, by uniting them to His infinite merits; and I wish to make reparation for my sins by casting them into the furnace of His merciful love. O my God! I ask You for myself and for those whom I hold dear, the grace to fulfill perfectly Your holy will, to accept for love of You the joys and sorrows of this passing life, so that we may one day be united together in heaven for all eternity. Amen.

Prayer of Saint Pope John Paul II for peace Feast 22 October
Lord hear my voice, for it is the voice of all the victims of all wars and violence among individuals and nations.
Hear my voice, for it is the voice of all the children who suffer, when people put their faith in weapons and war.
Hear my voice when I beg you to instill into the hearts of all human beings, the wisdom of peace, the strength of justice and the joy of fellowship.
Hear my voice, for I speak for the multitudes in every country and in every period of history, who do not want war and are ready to walk the road of peace.
Hear my voice, and grant insight and strength, so that we may always respond to hatred with love, to injustice with total dedication to justice, to need with the sharing of self, to war with peace.
O God, hear my voice and grant unto the world Your everlasting peace. Amen.

Prayer for strength Saint Pope John XXIII • Feast 11 October
Every day I need you, Lord, but today especially,
I need some extra strength to face whatever is to come.
This day, more than any other day,
I need to feel you near me to strengthen my
Courage and to overcome any fear.
By myself I cannot meet the challenge of the hour.
We are frail human creatures and we need a Higher Power to sustain us in all that life may bring.
And so, dear Lord, hold my trembling hand.
Be with me, Lord, this day and stretch out your powerful arm to help me.
May your love be upon me as I place all my hope in you. Amen.

St Teresa of Avila • Feast 15 October
I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.’
The important thing is not to think much but to love much; and so do that which best stirs you to love.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours, Yours are the eyes through which to look out Christ’s compassion to the world Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good; Yours are the hands with which he is to bless people now.

Prayer to the Guardian Angels • Feast 2 October
O most faithful companion and blessed spirit, chosen by the Heavenly Father to walk beside me through all the joys and trials of my earthly life, I thank you from the depths of my heart for your constant protection, gentle kindness, tender caring, and selfless love. I am forever grateful for the countless blessings and benefits you have obtained for me by your devoted intercession.
O holy Angel, ever-vigilant guardian, watch over me while I sleep and when I wake.
May your consoling presence bring me peace and dry my tears when I am sad or troubled.
Avert all dangers that threaten my body and soul, and mercifully warn me of those yet to come, that I may be spared from harm.
Obtain for me the grace of final perseverance, that sustained by faith, hope and love, I may at last enter into everlasting life and, with you, behold the face of God. May I one day join you in singing His praises for all eternity. Amen.
